August is a Salt Lake City, Utah based commercial photographer specializing in editorial, advertising and lifestyle photography. He regularly brings calm to the chaos on projects of all sizes and scope, moving seamlessly between portraiture, life style and editorial photography while working hard to meet the needs of a variety of clients.

August started his photographic journey while still a university journalism student when he was asked to be a full staff photographer and photo editor for a local newspaper. After graduation he went on to work as a staff photographer and photo editor at major newspapers and national magazines before deciding to move full time into commercial photography.  He uses all the skill and experience he has acquired as a photojournalist and artist to capture the pure story-telling moments that evoke and engage.

His work has appeared in a multitude of marketing and advertising campaigns for select clients as well as in the Sporting News, The Washington Post, New York Times, Harvard Business School Magazine, Super Lawyer Magazine, ESPN The Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Sports Illustrated for Kids, People, Der Stern, Paris Match, Parade Magazine, to name a few.
