August Miller is a Salt Lake City, Utah photographer specializing in corporate portraiture, editorial, advertising and commercial photography.

With a degree in journalism and photography, August began his career as a reporter and photojournalist working at major newspapers and magazines eventually becoming Photo Editor at the Sporting News.

After a long and successful photo editing and photojournalism career in the newspaper and magazine industry, August moved full time into freelance photography.

With a broad skill set as a photographer, August is adept at portraiture in a wide variety of situations, from CEO’s to farmers he specializes in editorial, advertising, corporate, senior and family portraiture.

He has won numerous awards for his photography and is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer at universities and in the photographic industry.  He has taught as an adjunct professor at universities and colleges and has mentored many other photographers and students as they have worked to develop their photography skills.

His work has been published in Sporting News, The Washington Post, New York Times, Deseret News, Salt Lake Tribune, ESPN The Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Sports Illustrated for Kids, People, Der Stern, Paris Match, Parade Magazine and Purina Corporate Magazine among others.
