This is a hawk that circled the air above the Salt Lake City Airport looking for prey. Salt Lake Airport personnel regularly patrol the airport and use a shotgun with blanks to scare away Hawks, Geese and other large birds that can get into the engines of aircraft at the Salt Lake City airport and cause problems.
